General Information & Policies

IMPORTANT NOTICE! 

Effectively immediately, we have suspended our policy to refund deposits on reservations cancelled within the no-penalty cancellation window as per our Policies. All deposits will be carried forward as a credit toward a future stay. Once the COVID-19 crisis is over and we’re back in business, any deposits that have not been carried forward as credits, unless otherwise requested, will be refunded in the order in which a cancellation was received. We regret any inconvenience this change in our Refund Policy will cause our guests, but absent any incoming revenue to sustain the basic essentials of our business, we are left with few alternatives. Thank you for your understanding.

-By reserving with us, you consent to the following policies-

Check-In/Check-Out

  • Guests are welcome to self check in to accommodations after 3:00 p.m. on the day of arrival.  This allows the guests to access the B&B and their accommodations when it’s convenient for them.  The Access code and procedure will be sent to their phone via text message and email given upon making the reservation. 
  • Guests are required to check out by no later than 11:00 am on the day of departure. Please call to request a late checkout availability. 
  • A Valid ID and Credit Card is required for check-in.

Minimum Stay

Holidays and special events require a minimum stay of 2 nights.
The reservation is required to be paid in full at the time of booking. (Please consult cancellation policy for holidays and special events)

Single Room/Cancellation Policy

Description:

A single reservation is when parties who are traveling book one (1) room at the time of request, for a period of time or short term rental.

Single Room Policy

Upon booking your stay, we will process one (1) nights stay on reservation request.

There will be a $50 per room cancellation fee from the day and time a reservation is booked until 48 hours before arrival.

48hr or less prior to your arrival we must ask you to forfeit your entire deposit which will be deemed non-refundable.

Group Reservations/Cancellation Policy

Description:
A group reservation is when parties who are traveling together book two (2) or
more rooms at the same time, for the same period of time.

Group Policy
Upon booking your stay, we will process one (1) nights stay per room booked.
This amount is non-refundable and will be forfeited upon cancellation at any time and for any reason.

May 1 through September 30th
If you cancel 14 or less days prior to your arrival we must ask you to take full responsibility for your entire reservation.

October 1 through April 30th
If you cancel 7 or less days prior to your arrival we must ask you to take full responsibility for your entire reservation.

Day weekend, 4th of July, Thanksgiving, Christmas, New Years Eve, Valentine’s
Day.

A credit toward a future stay will not be provided. We regret that no exceptions
will be made to this cancellation policy.

No Show & Early Departure

If you fail to check-in on the day of your reservation and have not contacted us, the booking will be deemed a no-show. The outstanding balance for the whole length of stay as booked will be charged immediately, in full, to the credit card on file. 

Early departure (regardless of the departure time) is considered the same as a no-show and will be treated accordingly.

Happy Hours/Party's Policy

Large groups (3 or more rooms) Policy & Fees:

No guest parties

No non-registered guests allowed

We reserve 9:00 pm – 7:00 am as quiet time at the Bed and Breakfast

Additional cleaning fee’s if applicable: Any additional cleaning beyond normal
housekeeping (such as but not limited to wine, make-up, blood, personal stains,
food & beverage clean-up) will be billed a minimum charge of $75.00 plus any
additional costs as necessary. We understand accidents do happen, we also except
guests to be respectful of the house and everyone in it.

At the Hibiscus House Bed and Breakfast, we are dedicated to protecting your privacy and safeguarding your personally identifiable information.

Information Collection
Our main purpose in collecting your personal information is to provide you with a streamlined experience in making reservation at the Hibiscus House Bed and Breakfast. We only collect information we deem necessary for achieving this. Personally identifiable information when making a reservation.

At the Hibiscus House Bed and Breakfast when users make a reservation we every precaution to safe guard the information given online and offline.

Payment Policy

Payment policy for single room lodging.

  • One (1) room night deposit upon reservation being made.
  • Remainder to be paid upon arrival on the day of reservation.


Payment policy for Group or Whole House Lodging.

  • One (1) night deposit per room will be due at the time reservation is made.
  • Fourteen (14) days prior to the arrival date the remainder shall be paid in full.

Occupancy Policy

Occupancy per room

King bed rooms to include The Palm Room, Bougainvillea Room and Orchid Room.

  • Two (2) Person Occupancy Only
  • Under no Circumstance will a third party be allowed.


Queen bed rooms to include The Jasmine Room.

  • Two (2) Person Occupancy Only
  • Under no Circumstance will a third party be allowed.


Double queen bed room to include The Periwinkle Room

  • Four (4) person Occupancy Only
  • Under no Circumstance will a fifth party be allowed.

Smoking/Vaping/Medical Cannabis/Illegal/Substance

Cigarettes/Cigars
Hibiscus House B&B is a non-smoking and non-vaping facility. There is a $300
cleaning fee for violating in-room smoking/vaping policy.

Smoke only on the outside grounds or sitting area and discard butts in the proper receptacle.

Medical Cannabis Use
Per Florida State Law
Card holding qualified patients are permitted to possess up to four ounces of herbal cannabis is a recommending physician opines “ that the benefits of smoking marijuana for medical use outweigh the risks for the qualified patient.”

Hibiscus House B&B is a non-smoking and non-vaping facility. There is a $300
cleaning fee for violating in-room smoking/vaping policy.

Smoke only on the outside grounds or sitting area and discard butts in the proper receptacle.

Illegal Substances
Illegal substances are not permitted at the Bed and Breakfast violations of this
policy will result in the proper authorities being notified. Guests will be asked to
leave the property and forfeit all payments

Alcohol

The Hibiscus House Bed and Breakfast is not licensed and there for can not supply alcohol under any circumstances.

Guests may enjoy their own beer, wine or spirits in their room, the common areas, and outside patios. Wine glasses, Corkscrews, glasses ice buckets are available if you choose to enjoy.

A guest may not sell, serve or permitted the serving of alcoholic beverages to any person under 21 years of age.

The State of Florida does not permit anyone to consume alcohol beverages on a
public property; this can also be extended to private property where the owner has not given permission for alcohol to be consumed.

When given permission to consume on property, PLEASE keep it on property.

When consuming alcohol please drink responsibly and be respectful.

Inebriated and/or disorderly guests will be asked to leave the property and forfeit all payments.

Guests falling under the above policy and items in the B&B are damaged, a fee in the amount of $500.00 will be charged to their card for the clean-up, replacement or repairs.

Pets

Sorry, but we cannot accommodate guest pets.

*ADA Qualified service dogs allowed as required by law. (see ADA requirement)

Candles/Scented Oils/Linen Sprays

No candles/scented oils/ linen sprays are not to be used in the rooms under any circumstances!

Weather & Hurricane Policy

We cannot be responsible for delays, interruptions, cancellations, inn closings or inconveniences in your trip due to weather. However, if you have a confirmed
reservation and you are due to arrive within 24 hours and an evacuation order (due to hurricane warning) is issued, you will receive a voucher for a future reservation. No refunds will be made. We highly suggest travel insurance. Vouchers are redeemable up to two years from the issue date, excluding special events and holidays. No voucher will be issued if the hurricane is not a threat to Fort Myers and you are unable to travel because of canceled flights or adverse travel conditions outside our area

Cosmetic/Blood Policy

There will be a $250 charge for cosmetics/blood clean up on all linens. We provide makeup cloths and first kits on site during your stay, If you require additional makeup towels, please don’t hesitate to ask.
